2 Start the greenery. Stroking along the length of each leaf, use chartreuse for the light areas and kelp green and chocolate for the dark areas. For the brightest highlights, layer spring green and white. Add crimson red to the flowers, adding Tuscan red and black to the darker areas. Use mulberry for the purple tulips, adding dahlia purple to the darker areas and crimson red and Tuscan red for warm accents. For the shadows, layer in black. For the yellow tulips, use canary yellow and mineral orange, adding Spanish orange to define the middle values. Add touches of chartreuse and crimson red to the base to suggest reflected light. Blend everything with white.
